The 2016 NFL Combine is firmly in the books, and as in previous years, some prospects boosted their draft stock and others left Indianapolis disappointed. These results seem incredibly important right now, but the reality is they become totally meaningless once a player puts on a helmet and shoulder pads. But the two-month period between the conclusion of the Combine and the commencement of the Draft? That's when fans, coaches and scouts all obsess over every available measurement in an often futile attempt to predict a prospect's future. Plenty of Combine freaks eventually fizzle out in the NFL, but lots of players move past dreadful showings to have excellent careers.
